Pants on the Ground T-Shirt Available at EBay Stores
According to Associated Content Meg G. Pants on the Ground t-shirts are available at eBay stores. You heard me right, General Larry Platt’s original song “Pants on the Ground” leapt from the American Idol Atlanta auditions to YouTube where it scored millions of hits and is now on t-shirts, buttons, and other merchandise available on Internet sites. Consumers can’t get enough of the catchy tune, and everyone from comedians to everyday people are very excited about the viral hit.
It’s characters like the General that make us love American Idol so much. What other show would bring us a 62 year old man decades older than the eligible age for a competition singing and dancing talking about people with sagging pants? My point exactly.
IF you watch the YouTube video, you will see that the performance made all of the judges laugh. It was definitely a welcomed break from the other contestants that seem to take everything very seriously.
Click here to head over to eBay, where the “Pants on the Ground” t-shirts are available. There is one that features a plumber’s crack around the bottom of the back of the t-shirt. There’s another design that features the silhouette of a man with his pants around his ankles.
Yet another type of shirt features the words “Lookin Like a Fool with your Pants on the Ground” and then features a picture of General Larry Platt pointing. A white t-shirt with a painted gold chain with a charm that reads “Pants on the Ground” is also for sale.
Leave it to entrepreneurs to make money off this hype. The song will likely remain popular for weeks, as “The View” has even booked the once-hopeful American Idol auditioner for their show on Monday. Jimmy Fallon even broke out into the lyrics while doing an impression of Neil Diamond.
Decals, buttons, and t-shirts are all for sale. There’s no word on how fast they are selling, but chances are they will be pretty popular in the days to come. Simon Cowell even said that he fears we haven’t seen the last of the zany songwriter.
